Pioneer Valley Tire has been a trusted tire shop since it's opening in 2018. The owner, Alex, is the dedicated team of one. He answers the phone, handles the sales, completes the installations and cleans the toilet, too! Being a one-man owner-run shop ensures every job that comes through the door is done with the utmost precision and attention to detail. He'll spend the time needed with you to make certain the tires that will be installed on your car are a true fit for your needs; unlike other facilities that may just need to sell a particular tire to make a quota or to get some old tires out of inventory. There's a lot involved with a successful tire installation and being both the owner and installer there's a strong reputation on the line; you can rest assured steps aren't being skipped because "It'll be someone else's problem tomorrow!".
Meet the Owner:
Alex is a Western Mass native having grown up in Turners Falls and attended Turners Falls High School; graduating in 1995. He was recruited by Lenny of Tire Warehouse, in Greenfield, in 1994 while his family was out to dinner at the local Friendly restaurant; having Alex as his waiter! Working at Tire Warehouse was the beginning of his actual interest in selling and changing tires! After graduation, Alex enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent ten years serving his country; attaining the rank of Technical Sargent. During his time in the Air Force he worked multiple part-time jobs including the tire chain Tire Kingdom. After his ten-year stint and collecting his Honorable Discharge he began his self-employment life. He ran a laundromat "The Laundry" in Greenfield from 2006 until 2022 and spearheaded the opening of his tanning salon "The Solar Express" in Greenfield; opening that in 2007 and running until 2022. In 2016 Alex thought he'd branch back off into the automotive world by opening "Gimme A Brake"; a mobile brake service business. Wanting to start back into tires again, Alex built a tire shop on wheels and added mobile tire services to Gimme A Brake's services. In 2018 Alex purchased the old rundown blue eyesore, in Bernardston, which was the former WMCI building and spent six months restoring and renovating the building which has housed Pioneer Valley Tire since.
